Here it is ! Every Sunday the angels had asked me to write on the Gospel for that day. With Love and gratitude, here it is , with a guided message behind it.
Gospel of Mark 6:7-13
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two
and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
He instructed them to take nothing for their journey but a walking stick-
no food, no sack, no money in their belts.
They were, however, to wear sandals
but not a second tunic.
He said to them,
“Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave.
Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.”
So they went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.
Jesus empowered the Twelve with God-given authority over unclean spirits, with anointing and healing, and especially with the Word of God. Jesus had specific instructions for the Twelve- to stay at a house until you leave (meaning until they left for good to go the the next house) and to shake the dust off their feet in testimony against them for those who wouldn’t listen to their message of repentance. During the Old Testament, not listening to prophets sent by God was usually a major reason for downfall and exile. The word repentance is an English translation from a Hebrew word meaning “To turn”. True repentance is actually true forgiveness. It’s a true healing knowing that God is merciful and when we turn and “about face” to turn toward Him in Obedience, we are empowered through His Grace and His Son Jesus Christ who lived and died for all of us. We all have the authority of God through Jesus and the Great Commission, and are all children of the Most High. Listening to God in His Word, or in quiet time with the Lord is an important part of any spiritual practice. This is not only for the religious, or the devout, or the righteous, or the faithful, or the Evangelists, but for everyone to take notice of what God expects from His children. Placing Him first and His Word in our hearts. Even to this day. Taking care of those who preach the Gospel, those who heal the sick, those who anoint. Taking care of those in our own homes and communities. Jesus empowered us to do all of these things and to share His message of Truth. Sharing the Knowledge and the Power of the Gospels empowers us to understand we are one, as God and Jesus are one, one with The Most High, now and always. In Jesus Name
