Jesus Gives Rest

The angels had guided me to post on the gospels on Sundays- with love and gratitude I surely do. With a loving message behind it.  Gospel of Mark 6:30-34

The apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught. Jesus said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest awhile.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity to even eat.
So they went off in a boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all of the towns
and arrived at the place before them.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
and his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd,
and he began to teach them many things.

The angel’s message through insight for this particular message is that Jesus offers rest (even now) to those who seek him. It is the Peace of Christ that gives us rest and offers us solace. The word “apostles ” literally means “those who are sent.” Jesus offers rest to his apostles during their ministry. He offers the crowd peace and rest through his teachings (and healings). There were a great number who were seeking solace, counsel, healings and Jesus saw them with compassion and ministered to them in large numbers. Jesus’ words have the fruit of life, rest in peace, and God’s Holy presence within them. In the old testament, God had promised the people, “I myself will give them rest” (Ezekiel 34:15) and through the prophets, revealed that he would be sending them. “a righteous shoot” who would “shepherd his flock (his people) so that none would be missing and Israel would dwell in security.” (Jeremiah 23:5-6). Jesus is like a caring shepherd here to his apostles and also to the crowds. Jesus always makes time for those who seek him earnestly and in faith- and is met with the love and compassion of our Lord.  Through the Holy Spirit, it is revealed that Jesus is the true (anointed) Shepherd and Prince of God’s Sovereign Peace.

“Greetings, this is the angels on High, and this peace that is sought is still available to you and within each of your hearts. Jesus asks to come to him, no matter the religion or faith or belief system -all are welcome in his heart. You are God’s Holy children and through the gospels , peace is revealed through Jesus Christ. Jesus has a way of increasing peace within his sheep even now. Inner peace is God Given. It is a breath of spiritual bread and water from above. It is the Light of Christ Jesus. Jesus helps those who ask, and even those who do not know him. Jesus asks us to come to him, anytime, all of the time, without question, Jesus will understand why you are coming, welcome anyone who comes, and offer rest to those who seek him. He is the shepherd of the whole kingdom and is helping you even when you are not aware. The Christ presence is unmistakable and is within each other. Every child of God , even those who do not know him, have the Light of the Lord inside them. Ask Jesus now, welcome him in your own heart. Ask him to be with you , your family-for where Jesus is, there is rest.”
