“You Must Shine Your Light Before Others”

Awhile back, the angels asked me to dedicate Sundays to the Gospel.With Love and Gratitude, here is the Gospel of Matthew 5:13-16.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“You are the salt of the earth.
But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything
but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father.”

Shining our light before others not only unconsciously inspires others to do so also; it Glorifies God. By shining our light, this can be done in a multitude of ways, using our Gifts of Holy Spirit and His Spiritual Fruits is what Glorifies God. Love, Peace, Faithfulness, Acting in Faith, Gentleness, Compassion, Love, Acting in Integrity, Modesty, Peaceful acts and speaking our truth peacefully, Honesty, Kindness- are all Gifts and our Strengths and are what makes us and others around us grow stronger as a community, and as God’s people. When we use our Gifts of Love, everyone benefits.
