“And Behold, I Am With You Always…”

Jesus

Awhile back, the angels asked me to dedicate Sundays to the Gospels. With love and gratitude, here is the Gospel of Matthew 28:16-20

MT 28:16-20

The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Today is the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, and in this Gospel reading, the disciples receive a special commissioning or anointing from Jesus Himself. Jesus didn’t punish the disciples for doubting. Rather, he reminds us of his great Authority and Divinity, and guides his disciples to guide others in the Way of the Gospel and anoints his disciples with the Power to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Jesus reminds us through his Divine Authority that he is with us always.

Ask for Jesus to spend time with you in your heart. Spend time with the Lord in your heart, asking God and Jesus to fill your heart with their Holy and Eternal Divine Peace and Love.
