“….Go Your Way, Your Faith Has Saved You”

Awhile back I received insight from the angels to dedicate every Sunday to the Gospel Reading for the day. With love and gratitude- Here is today’s reading from the Gospel of Mark10:46-52.

As Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a sizable crowd,
Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus,
sat by the roadside begging.
On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth,
he began to cry out and say,
“Jesus, son of David, have pity on me.”
And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent.
But he kept calling out all the more,
“Son of David, have pity on me.”
Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
So they called the blind man, saying to him,
“Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you.”
He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.”
Jesus told him, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.”
Immediately he received his sight
and followed him on the way.

This Gospel has a message of faith indeed, trusting in Jesus  for anything and knowing fully with God ( and also with Jesus) all things are possible. In this case, this included healing Bartimaeus’ physical sight. However, there was nothing wrong with his spiritual sight- it was through his spiritual insight that he recognized Jesus as Divine- as the Holy Son and Savior of God, but also ignored those who rebuked him, who couldn’t see that asking for Jesus’ help would indeed heal this man’s sight. But that’s not all that was healed as Jesus said “Go your way- Your faith has saved you.” That kind of peace will stay with any man , woman or child for eternally. In addition, this man followed Jesus, even after he was saved and healed. Literally becoming a disciple of Christ Jesus.

Asking in faith and staying close to Jesus is important, in this time period or in any- and that’s the real message here. Ask in faith for anything- for healing, for Miracles, for Jesus’ help, for understanding, for increased faith, for recognizing spiritual insight, for recognizing spiritual gifts and abilities, for recognizing God’s messages, or even in recognizing that we are one with God and Jesus already.

“Lifting up any concern to the Most High is welcomed by Christ and God the Father who loves you. Listen to the words of Jesus and know this message is meant for everyone. Jesus has the Words of Eternal Life. Faith is important. Listening to the words of Jesus is important now and always has been. This man was saved due to asking, in knowing fully he could be saved if only he asked. When Jesus heard him, he turned around. That kind of faith will always make Jesus turn around. Know this when praying to God the Father or to his Son Jesus Christ.” ~the Angel Team
