Heaven and Earth Will Pass Away But My Words Will Not Pass Away

Awhile Back – than angels encouraged me to write on the Gospel Readings  on Sunday. With Love, here is the Gospel of Mark 13:24-32~ with a loving message behind it.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“In those days after that tribulation
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will be falling from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

“And then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in the clouds’
with great power and glory,
and then he will send out the angels
and gather his elect from the four winds,
from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

“Learn a lesson from the fig tree.
When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves,
you know that summer is near.
In the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that he is near, at the gates.
Amen, I say to you,
this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.

“But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Today’s Gospel begins with Jesus describing typical cosmic signs when God’s Plan will be nearing it’s culmination. He then quotes Daniel’s description of the Glorious appearance of the messianic Son of Man ( 7:13)

Jesus then shifts to urging the disciples to attend to signs of the Messiah’s arrival. Just as they can read nature’s indications that summer is near, they must also become adept  at perceiving that God’s final rule over all things, accomplished through a chosen Messiah, is at hand in their lives and world. Jesus tell his contemporaries that that they must be waiting and watching for divine presence and action, for the time of completing God’s plan of salvation is known to none but God alone. Those who trust in the final coming must always be awake and watchful, listening to the Word that does not pass away. (See Reference below)

” The Savior our Lord Jesus, who has come to save all, through His coming has saved everyone. His Words are more than insight, they are Spiritual Truth. Insight indeed, however with His Word comes salvation. The True Prince of Peace, God’s Holy Son, will always be with you through this age and the next. Paying attention to the signs of Heaven will help in recognizing the Second Coming of the Savior Jesus Christ;  For God’s Holy Plan is just.”- The Angel Team
